The nation’s Opposition Leader has today kick off the week with a groundbreaking new policy announcement.

Peter Dutton has fronted the media on a crispy wintery morning to reveal a historic ‘nation building policy.’

Dutton has revealed that if elected next year his government will oversea the manufacture of 1 million flying cars by the year 2030.

On top of that, he’s promised to make 1 million flying cars every single year following 2030.

The huge investment is set to be a shot in the arm for the local manufacturing industry, which has been left to die because it didn’t give as much money to political parties as people who dig shit out of the ground or make shitty skyboxes in capital cities.

“This is a landmark piece of policy,” said Dutton, handing out a one page media release to all of the journalists present at the press conference.

“The tax payer will entirely fund the manufacture of flying cars, and they will be in market before the end of the decade.”

Dutton’s announcement comes off the back of his revelation that he is going to build a nuclear power framework in the next couple of decades entirely using taxpayer money.

Although anyone who knows anything about energy generation (or ‘experts’ as some lefties call them) saying it’s literally the dumbest and most unfeasible energy generation pitch we’ve every seen – Dutton is pushing on with the absurd and unfounded ideas to change the nation.

“We’ll make sure to slap a Holden badge on all of the new flying cars,” laughed Dutton.

“Vote for me and you are voting for every Australian to have access to affordable Australian made flying cars.”

While the rest of the world is at least 50 years away from flying cars, Dutton said he is confident of pulling off the manufacturing coup within 10.

“It’s called thinking outside the box,” he laughed, walking out of the press conference and refusing to answer questions about how the policy will work.

More to come.
