A local high school teacher has cleared up a big misunderstanding today.
Jess Racehlle (28) from our town’s Betoota Heights district has revealed that she has NOT been on holiday for the last couple of weeks.
While technically she has had just over two weeks off work to do whatever she wants, Jess says it’s been far from a holiday.
“Pleaseeeeeeee,” she laughed this afternoon.
“I wish I had two weeks off hahahaha”
The HSIE teacher from Betoota Heights High said she’s actually been flat out doing teaching plans, catching up on admin and just doing heaps of other work stuff because she is working and isn’t on fucking holiday.
“It’s been two pretty full on weeks working from home,” continued Jess who has asked every single person in her friendship group to catch up at least once during the middle of a week day.
“So yeah, holidays were greattttttt!”
“It’s pretty funny that people think we just get 3 months off a year to put our feet up and relax, but that just isn’t true,” said Jess.
Speaking to one of Jess’s friends, they confirmed that it’s not worth going there with the teacher.
“Look, no one begrudges her the holidays,” laughed her friend.
“She has one of the most important jobs in society and shapes a generation of local kids.”
“It’s not great pay and it’s highly draining work.”
“But she does get 3 months holidays and I don’t know why she can’t just admit they were pretty good and she enjoyed some time off.”
“I know she probably did a bit of work, but come on, don’t buy into this busyness competition the rest of society is a part of.”
