In some unsurprising news, a movie about men destroying the earth has completely dominated the Oscars, beating movies about women being nice to each other and the learning the power of sisterhood (Barbie) a girl’s eye opening journey into becoming a woman (Poor Things) and a true story about white men murdering Native Americans for their oil rich land (Killers of the Flower Moon).

Snapping up a staggering seven wins, which included Best Actor, Best Director and Best Picture, Oppenheimer easily outperformed Barbie, which earned just one Oscar win for best original song, with Billie Eilish’s ‘What was I made for?”

Adding insult to injury by premiering just days after International Women’s Day, Oppenheimer’s Oscar wins proves that even though movies depicting the shared female experience are nice, you just can’t beat three hours of destructive men pouring their heart and soul into creating a nuclear weapon of unprecedented power that forever changes the course of history.

More to come.
