In a heartbreaking yet extremely predictable disaster, local resident and self-proclaimed bloke that’s trying to save money and order less UberEats, Benjamin Fernie (29) , found himself having to chuck the baby out with the bathwater.
It all began innocently enough when Benjamin decided to save a few bucks by storing his leftovers in Tupperware containers. Little did he know, this decision would lead to a tragic series of events.
After enjoying a hearty spag bol, Benjamin diligently sealed the remnants in his trusty Tupperware and placed it in the depths of his fridge, confident that he would enjoy a second serving at a later date.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, as Benjamin’s forgotten leftovers languished in the chilly confines of his refrigerator.
It was only after the smell of the rotten leftovers had made its way through the Tupperware and through the fridge itself, that questions began to be raised amongst his share-house about where it was coming from.
Upon rediscovering the Tupperware buried beneath a pile of condiments, Benjamin was met with a sight straight out of a horror movie: a fuzzy, unrecognizable mass of mold and decay.
“The thing was completely black, it was at that moment I knew it was bye-bye to the container, there’s no way in hell I’m keeping that thing after what it’s been through. It’s a shame because It was the first time I’d actually used it.”
