News Corp is today doing its very best to distract from the fact they are a failing business who had to once again had to sack another bunch of journalists and employees.
With the head honchos of the global media company flying into Sydney this week to roll some heads because they can’t can’t make any money outside of hosting a real estate platform in a country where they helped force the government to create a hyper inflated property bubble – another set of employees have been told to pack up their things and head out of Holt Street.
While the latest significant blow to the monopoly media company would assumedly be a newsworthy event, News Corp has instead decided to spend the week focused on Nine Media Co, and the COMMUNIST ABC!!!!!!
ABC journalist Laura Tingle in particular has drawn the ire of News Corp’s unhindered drunks, racists and clickbait merchants, after some comments she made at the Sydney Writers Festival.
Speaking to a bunch of resin jewellery wearing intellectuals in Sydney, the political journalist said; “We are a racist country, let’s face it. We always have been, and it’s very depressing.”
The objectively quite fair comment quickly became a culture wars flashpoint for the ‘journalists’ at News Corp, who have replaced doing any investigative work by just flat out giving hot take opinions that stir up the masses.
Janet Albrechtsen, who once falsely tried to claim that gang rape was a right of passage for young Muslim youth based upon a study she misinterpreted, said Tingle has displayed a “vile lack of professionalism.”
The columnist for the company that harbours hopeless drunks and people convicted of racism, has demanded that ABC take a stand on this ‘farce’ and called for Peter Dutton to cut funding to the public broadcaster should he be elected.
The ABC has of course dropnuts’ed and told Tingle to pull her head in, caving to the News Corp pile on which has nothing to do with wanting to eradicate one of the only organisations that can compete with them, and potentially hold them to account.
It’s unknown whether this new found demand for unbiased journalistic integrity from News Corp will permeate through to its own employees.
More to come.
