A Betoota Heights woman has this week had her Subaru keys officially revoked, after revealing that she’s never heard of the sensation that is Chappell Roan.
The popstar, who has exploded in popularity over the last couple of months, has been lauded as the ‘Gen Z Lady Gaga’, due to her strong vocals, charismatic stage presence and drag queen inspired costumery and theatrics – with the latest video to dominate Tik Tok being her performance at the Governors Ball dressed as the Statue of Liberty. Asslass chaps and all.
But despite the musician quickly becoming an icon amongst the queer community, Emily Rhinebach, 28, has apparently ‘never heard of her’, which was revealed during a car ride to work yesterday morning.
“I put on ‘Good Luck Babe’, and she asked me who sung that”, reveals her best mate Avery, “I asked her is she was fucking kidding, and she wasn’t.”
“I almost had to pull over.”
The Advocate learns that not only is Emily facing harsh judgement from these revelations, but she’s also been forced to take time off work today to listen to Chappell’s, ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess’ album, if she wants to be invited to anymore events in the future.
“She’s on probation”, confirms Avery, “next she’ll be saying she doesn’t know who Renee Rap is. Or King Princess.”
“Or god forbid, Girl in Red.”
More to come.
