A young Betoota man on the holiday of a life time, has today confirmed that he is still trying to get his bearings.
Kicking off his 4th day in the Land of the Rising Sun and Strong Zero, Ryan Moore (28) explained that he’s still trying to read the lay of the land.
“Yeah, still trying to wrap my head around the customs over here,” laughed Ryan, talking loudly on the street with a 500ml can of 9% alcohol in his hand.
“They certainly do things quite differently.”
Like every 20/30 something in Australia, Ryan said a few months ago he decided it was time to scoot over to Japan, and check out what all the fuss was about.
“Been there and done that with Bali a few times mate,” said Ryan, who has definitely brought his Bali personality to the Cherry Blossom capital.
“So I thought I’d check out the Temples and Ramen and shit.”
“And man, I can’t quite get a read on it.”
“Everyone is so polite and stuff, which is sick.”
“But they keep looking at us funny when we drink and talk on the train and eat food in the street.”
“Isn’t the point of being able to get sushi and a drink at 7/11 that you can walk around with it,” said the man, disrespecting his food and the public space he was in.
“You can read cartoon pornos on the train but not have a chat?”
“Weird.”
“Anyway, Japan’s sick, I love it.”
