Danilo Mendoza (28) has awkwardly forgotten to mention to a mate that a decent portion of his apartment is taken up by his mammoth footwear collection.
The encounter began when Danilo invited one of his friends from Thursday night basketball over to his place to enjoy his mum’s leftover chicken adobo.
Like any honest Filipino man, Danilo takes extreme pride in what he wears on his feet, and he can be forgetful that a lot of his white mates only own 2 pairs of shoes at a time.
Moments before the arrival of his basketball mate Finn, Danilo did a quick scan of his place from the perspective of his guest to make sure everything looked normal.
Danilo quickly noticed that Finn might find it strange that he owns almost every pair of Jordans that has been released since the 90’s, unworn, even the Air Jordan VIII Retro PE’s.
“I mean, the entire hallway is shoe racks, the lounge is stacked with shoe boxes and I don’t think I can even open the door to my guest bedroom at this point.” He explained.
Upon Finn’s arrival the anglo-Australian male tried his best not to point out the obvious despite being engulfed by that clean shoe smell the moment he walked in the door.
“I guess this is what he does for work?” Finn questioned.
Despite trying his best to be polite, Finn couldn’t help but be puzzled by the situation.
“Does he wear these? they’re in such good condition.”
“My shoes aren’t even this clean when I buy them”
Danilo couldn’t help but take pride in his collection valued at over $100,000 as he watched his confused white mate step over boxes to make it to the lounge.
“Yeah I know for a fact he was eyeing out those Air Jordan XI 25th Anniversary”
