The Betoota Heights Twilight Cricket Competition is living in blissful ignorance, it can be confirmed today.
With the new season just weeks away from tipping off, players from around our town’s aspirational suburbs are reportedly completely unaware that the game is about to change.
This comes after local finance guy Bradley Hills just ordered himself the new Kookaburra Kahuna Pro.
Despite not averaging double figures in his previous 4 seasons, Hills is now set to bring a Lynnsanityesque style to the local comp after the order of the new bat.
With a comfortable short handle and a serious sweet spot, Hills is set to unleash a barrage of boundaries upon the local battlers.
“Probably my soundest investment yet,” laughed Hills, who has spent months researching his new axe.
“Can’t weight for the season to start.”
“Just really feel like I’m maturing as a batsmen, and ready to unleash this spring and summer.”
“Scoring lower order runs is really going to add to my threat with the ball,” continued that man that averages double figure run rates without picking up a whole of lot of wickets.
“Big things coming,” he finished, shadowing batting a perfect cover drive.
More to come.
