The US Vice Presidential Debate has today wowed the eagerest of beavers, who are tuning in across the nation in their hundreds.
Off the back of the WWE style debate between Harris and Trump, Tim Walz and JD Vance have offered up a very human by very reserved conversation.
While some might argue that having a conversation about the major issues effecting the people who vote for them is actually quite a good thing for democracy, the lack of bluff and bluster has left many others feeling underwhelmed.
Without a single referencing to illegal aliens getting free transgender surgeries or immigrants eating family pets, the debate between the two Vice Presidential picks has given off serious Australia A v a touring side vibes.
“Yeah, it’s certainly one for the purists,” mused local council office worker Jarrod Newton.
“It’s a real Sheffield Shield type operator’s kind of debate.”
“I mean, they are actually working on their craft and trying to press their claims to represent the nation in a strong but assured manner.”
“Which just doesn’t have the same allure to the general public who’s been conditioned to pyjama cricket that takes place over 40 overs.”
“Ah well.”
“It’s kept me from doing that boring AF spreadsheet I need to fill out.”
“At least the cricket isn’t far aware now.”
“JD is a real Glen ‘Big Show’ Maxwell kind of operator now I think about it. Capable of some real flashy blood pumping stuff, but trying to rein it in for the longer form version of the game.”
JD Vance is currently 3/100 at Tea on Day 1, against the touring Tim Walz.
