A local millennial woman has again reaffirmed that the kids are lost in the world of screens, despite spending a large portion of her childhood staring at a Tamagotchi.
Sarah Doyle (34), was reminded how far the younger generation has fallen while having lunch at a family friendly pub earlier this week and looking at how many of the kids were locked on their screens.
“I looked around at all the kids and they were just obsessed with their bloody ipads! go play with toys and just be kids” Sarah said while anxiously refreshing Instagram while frantically hopping between apps.
The anti-ipad kid sentiment seems to be growing amongst the first generation that began to reject toys while embracing Tamagotchi’s and Gameboys.
“I mean yeah, I did spend whole days caring for my Tamagotchi when I was younger, but that’s different. Obviously” Sarah explained.
The millennial, who has an average screen time that dwarfs that of a child, believes the screens are terrible for children’s health and that touching some grass would do them a lot of good.
“It’s just so bad for you, don’t even get me started on how bad social media is for young teenagers”
Sarah later confirmed that she was heavily invested in the appearance of her Bebo account and spent every afternoon as a teenager locked in to MSN.
