The Warriors of Free Speech have taken a notable u-turn today, after an incident in the nation’s capital.
The group of white, right wing blokes who spearhead the broader ‘you can’t say anything these days movement’ have taken a break from preaching liberty, to instead condemn the speech of Lidia Thorpe.
This comes after the Senator from Victoria made global headlines by giving King Charlie a spray yesterday.
Amongst other things, Thorpe let Charlie know that he isn’t her King, and she’s not a fan of the 250ish years of oppression that his family has presided over.
While advocates of the right to be able to speak freely without repercussion would assumedly get behind someone’s right to say something that might offend people, that has not been the case.
The Leader of Opposition, one who normally gets off on saying things that inflame people, has in fact come out calling for the Senator to lose her job over the outburst.
Dutton has joined the growing crowd of snowflake blokes who are up in arms about Lidia saying something offensive, with a growing movement to cancel the larrikin politician.
It’s unknown how far these blokes will now go to censor and cancel the outspoken character, but it’s believed they’ll keep whining and whinging until they get their way.
