A local millennial man has this weekend shared some videos of himself spinning some DJ decks, as part of his new journey at cultivating a personality outside of his soul crushing office job.

Todd Welling, 31, a logistics manager for a full service vending machine company in Betoota Heights, said he’d been thinking of learning how to DJ for ‘some time now’ and that he finally decided to learn after receiving some extremely targeted Instagram ads about an eight week DJing course that would culminate in a live showcase.

Having already agreed to DJ at a few parties, Todd (or ‘Hot Toddy’) says learning this new skill has given him a new lease on life – even admitting that he sometimes thinks about chucking his full time job altogether.

“I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m reached my thirties so I’m having a bit of a existential crisis, but I’ve just been suddenly filled with this urge to try new things”, says Todd, which also means ‘acid.’

“I’m even having my second party phase.”

Todd says he’s not sure where his DJing adventures will take him, only that he’s excited to see what the future holds for him.

“Tiesto, Skrillex, bit of Pendulum”

“All the bangers.”

More to come.
