Opposition leader Peter Dutton has broken his silence over the scandal surrounding the Prime Minister receiving the odd flight upgrade, telling media in Canberra that he’s a sucker for flying commercial in the first place.
“Anthony Albanese knows that there’s always Gina’s [Rinehart] jet available for him and I,” he laughed.
“If you fly commercial, you run the risk of interacting with members of the public, which we need to be careful of. You know, what’s the point in even having a RAAF VIP jet if you’re not going to use it? The Prime Minister’s time is valuable,”
“Think of a private jet like it’s the Mazda sitting in your driveway. You could walk, get the bus, get the train and you’ll eventually get to where you’re going. But it’s easier and faster to just drive, right? Most times, it is. Your time isn’t worth waiting around for some shitty bus or train. You’re a middle manager at some medium-size business in Chermside. You’re a car person now. It’s the same principle with private aviation. If your time is valuable, you fly private. The plane waits for you. When you’re flying commercial, you wait for the plane,”
“I fly private where I can. Both the RAAF and high-net-worth Australians provide that service for not just me, but other people like Anthony Albanese. It’s all declared, which makes it OK. I’ve been on Gina’s get heaps. I’ve got taxpayer funded private jets to see Gina. As long as it’s all declared, it’s all above board,”
“But that won’t stop me from putting the boot into Albo and his close personal friend Alan Joyce. It’s pretty good only having the ‘conga line of suckholes’ at the ABC putting the dog up me. The only people who watch the ABC are people who read for fun, so fucking nobody.”

More to come.
