Local woman Chloe Farnsworth, 27, is cursing herself for ever mentioning the concept of product placements to her mum, Julie, 54, who now feels compelled to identify every single corporate logo that appears on-screen during family movie nights.
“We were watching Bullet Train a few weeks ago, and I remarked how clever the product placement with the Fiji water bottle was”, says Chloe, “I then explained to mum how product placement works, and how Fiji water must have paid a fuck ton to get so much screen time.”
“It was meant to be an offhand comment, but now she’s obsessed with pointing it out.”
“But now we can’t get through a single movie without her pointing out product placement.”
Chloe now regrets ever opening her mouth.
“Now every time mum spots a logo, she looks at me like she’s cracked the Da Vinci Code,” says Chloe, “as you can imagine, watching Transformers was a fucking nightmare.”
More to come.
