Alarm bells have begun ringing off in a local share house resident’s head after he noticed that the letters he’s receiving in the mail are addressed to dozens of former tenants.
“It’s clear to me that there’s been a lot of turnover in this house. Landlords must be an absolute nightmare,” said Sam Reid (28).
Sam said the revelation only happened a few weeks into moving in.
At first, he thought the stack of letters was just an unfortunate mistake.
But then, the names kept coming: Mark, Jessica, Tom, and even one addressed to ‘LLoyd’.
“Who is LLoyd? What kind of a name even is that?” Sam pondered.
Despite his growing suspicions, Sam has yet to approach his landlord, citing his fear of becoming “just another name in the ghosts of the mailbox.”
“I’m basically living in a revolving door of tenants. One minute you’re here, the next you’re a permanent fixture on the mailbox,” he continued.
For now, Sam plans to keep the letters, hoping they might provide clues to the house’s checkered past.
He’s also considering starting a group chat with the ex-tenants, though he’s not sure if it’s for socializing or survival.
