A Betoota Heights woman has decided she’s due for a reward this black Friday, after making her own food for three days in a row instead of buying lunch out.
Sick of seeing what little she had in her bank account at the end of every pay cycle, Dana Loosemore, 28, says she no longer plans on prioritising ‘her time’ over saving money – and when she says ‘her time’, she means the effort required to make a sandwich instead of just buying one.
“I’d really like to do a trip to Japan next year”, says Dana, and pretty much everyone else in Australia, “so I really need to knuckle down and save.”
“It’s definitely eating out and going for drinks that’s my undoing,” she admits, “that and my Sunday hangover Uber Eats shame order.”
“It’s so bad Uber Eats sends me a notification every Sunday, like clockwork.”
Dana says she’s quite proud of how much money she’s been able to save these past few days. So proud that she plans on treating herself to a little shopping spree this Friday.
“I’ve been so good, and it’s Black Friday sales .
“I’d be stupid not to”, she reasons.
More to come.
