An employee at the Betoota Ponds Tavern is today being praised for going above and beyond for his customers.

Brad Parker (29) has been labelled a hero by some locals, after taking an arduous task upon him, for the sake of his fellow man and woman.

While many would have shied away from the job at hand, Brad reportedly took up the challenge of changing the TV channel at his local watering hole.

Holding down the fort on a pretty quiet Sunday evening, Brad somehow managed to complete the mammoth effort of finding Channel 10 on one of the front bar’s TVs.

That effort came after a fair bit of huffing and puffing, a supposed trip out the back to find the manager, and of course submitting paper work with the local council and the office of liquor and gaming.

“I mean, he really went above and beyond to change the TV from 7mate to Channel 10,” said one local drinker this morning.

“We are just so grateful that he managed to put the Matildas on the TV, by pressing like 3 buttons on the remote.”

“The way he was carrying on, it seemed like it was physically impossible to do something like that.”

“But some how he found away.”

“He could have just us the remote because no one was watching fucking Ice Road Truckers or whatever was on, but obviously that would case SERIOUS issues and could end up with him getting jail time or something.”

“So we are just so glad he could change it for us.”

“I’m nominating him for the Australian Of The Year awards.”

More to come.
