Zooper Doopers across the country are taking their final breaths today.
As the nation winces through a disgustingly sweaty December heatwave, the popular sugary little ice blocks are being wiped out in record numbers.
From building sites to schools to home offices, Zooper Doopers are being deleted as parts of the nation prepare for temperatures of up to 47C.
Melbourne is set to hit 40C today while Western Sydney is set for a toasty 41C tomorrow, as the more honest parts of the country top the 40s without whinging about it.
With air conditioning units pumping in houses and workplaces that can afford it, the slushy little ice-blocks are helping to keep the nation cool.
Which means that new packet of Zooper Doopers in the freezer are not long for this world.
“Yeah, I’ll doubt they’ll see the day out,” mused one working from home man who looked like he’d been for a swim fully clothed.
“I’m actually doing two at a time right now.”
“I like to kinda hammer em before I cut them, to turn the Zooper into slush and then slurp em.”
“Fairy Floss still the GOAT colour too.”
