A young father of one is today coming to terms with the price of having a nice aesthetic.
Attempting to peel himself off his leather couch a short time ago, Aiden Brown says he’s does kind of regret a big furniture decision he and his partner made.
“Yeah, it seemed like a no brainer at the time,” sighed Aiden.
“But it was also the depths of winter when we made that decision.”
The decision in question was whether to get a leather couch, or a more skin friendly fabric material.
While both he and his partner Jodie agreed that the fabric was the nicer material, and looked far better than the suburban project home looking brown leather couch, the pair settled on a more stain resistant leather couch in the end.
“Yeah, we’ve got a little menace running around and another one on the way, we were worried that the fabric would end up with more stains than a uni share house couch picked up off the street,” explained Aiden.
“Which it certainly would have given our little girl’s pre-disposition to rubbing food, paint, and anything she can find all over herself and anything in her vicinity.”
“But given I nearly drowned in my own sweat on the leather couch in this heat, I think I’d be okay to live with stains right now.”
“Fuck it’s hot isn’t it.”
Our reporter confirmed that yes it is hot.
More to come.
