A Cootamundra-based teenage cricketing prodigy has today been tipped as the next half-decent looking bloke to play for Australia, after taking a 9fa over the weekend in a rep match.

According to a few state selectors and wildly overexcitable board members of his bush cricket club, 17-year-old Kai Bourke is in good stead to wear the baggie green by 2018. And what’s more, he’s not a bad looking bloke.

“Not since Lillee have we seen a head that marketable” says David Peever, Chairman of Cricket Australia.

“Haven’t seen much of his bowling, but apparently he’s been making marks in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales”

“I’ve heard a lot about his jaw symmetery and hairline though”

1970’s pace bowling icon, Dennis Lillee has given comment today, after learning of the multiple comparisons between his ruggedly handsome good looks and that of young Kai.

“He might have the looks, but I think with me, sorry with me and Thommo, the swagger had a lot to do with it”

“This bloke might have an alright mug on him, he might be able to bowl 138 kilometres an hour…”

“But he has to also have the hide to rock a mullet, moustache and gold chain while doing it”

“That’s what made our side so popular with Elton and Jagger”
