Fairfax Eye Steve Price As Possible Replacement For Clementine Ford As Resident Feminist

In some breaking news from the curfew capital of the country, Sydney, Fairfax has reportedly lined up a replacement for feminist icon Clementine Ford.

Reports emerging this morning suggest that the powers at be at Nine Newspapers are looking to anoint fellow feminist icon Steve Price as her replacement.

This comes after Ford sensationally quit the organisation yesterday hitting out at the conditions imposed upon her by Nine Newspapers, and their attempts to censor her public comments, notably her comments calling the Night Watchmen a ‘fucking disgrace’ last year.

An insider explained to The Advocate this morning that top execs are lining Price up due to his ‘profound understanding of intersectional issues facing Australian women’ and his ability to blindly support the conservative values of the Liberal Party.

“Look the big wigs are pretty aware that Pricey can wear a few hats, and he is completely across the social, health, and economic issues and prejudices that women face, so he really is the right man for a job.”

“I mean, if you needed any proof that he is passionate about gender equality you just need to look at the fact he has a wife, and two daughters.”

“That automatically qualifies him on those issues, just like it qualified Tony Abbott to be the Minister for Women.”

It isn’t yet known whether Price’s new role will impact upon his Project and 2GB appearances.

It’s believed however that Project regular Peter Helliar is particularly concerned that if Price cuts back on his Project appearances he won’t be able to regularly rip on Price for cheap points.
