The kids of Smith family had hoped to have a nice relaxing family holiday, however that dream is being shattered today as every moment of peace and quiet is interrupted by their parent’s mobile phone notifications – which despite being right next to them, seem to be set at the loudest possible volume.

“They used to get up us for having our phones on us all the time, now we’re on holidays trying to switch off and their phones are going off every second” says Bethany Smith, John and Jane’s adult daughter who organised the holiday so she didn’t have to pay.

“Just put it on silent like the rest of us ffs,” says Tim, their oldest son.

“I don’t understand though, it’s like they’ve somehow hacked their phone and made the notifications 10 times louder than anyone else’s can be”

“We’ll never lose them I suppose.”

According to John and Jane though, they don’t see the problem in having their phones on loud.

“Well then we wouldn’t hear it. What if there was an emergency?” says Jane, who’s main notifications come from Pinterest.

“Yes, if the kids want to go on a peaceful family holiday maybe they can pay for their own” adds John before leaving the interview to answer his phone.
