For Dina Galley (29) silly season has been in full swing since the October long weekend, which for the self-proclaimed ex-partier, it’s more than taking its toll on her. So much so, that she is today considering taking the drastic step of faking a pregnancy to get out of future engagements.
Speaking exclusively with The Advocate, Dina said she got the idea when one of her friends got out of a boozy dinner without copping ridicule from her friends because she had a legitimate excuse.
“It’s not fair, when I try and bail everyone gets in my grill, but when Steph does it’s fine because she’d ‘pregnant’” she says with air quotes.
“But you know what they say, if you can’t beat ‘em, join’em”
“Do you reckon it’s crook if I pretend to be pregnant?”
“I’ll go along with it until like Christmas or something and then just say it was a misread on the pregnancy test or something”
“I just can’t hack anymore parties, I’m done”
It’s not yet confirmed whether Dina will go through with her pregnancy rumour, but for safe measure she has started following baby related accounts on Instagram in hopes of building up the lie around her – just in case.
