A confused Bob Katter has been told not to worry about installing the new coronavirus tracking app on his personal mobile phone because it’s not compatible.
Mr Katter’s Motorola SNET mobile phone was purchased by the Member for Kennedy in 1992 and has remained behind the passenger seat of his Toyota ever since.
After hearing about this new coronavirus app, Katter (who says he has nothing to hide from Scott Morrison in regards to his whereabouts) told one of his staffers to ‘fetch the mobile’ in the Toyota and install the new tracking app.
His staffer double-checked to see if the 34kg mobile device was first compatible with the Android operating system, which is was not.
In informing Bob, his staffer explained that this telephone probably hasn’t rung since about 1996.
“That’s because they keep ringing your phone,” he told his advisor.
“My friends have my number, yet they still insist on calling you. It’s plugged into car most of the time anyway. What if it rings when I’m not in the car? If a phone rings in a Toyota and there’s no ears of which to hear it, does it make a sound?”
His advisor simply shrugged and explained that they’ll install the coronavirus app on his phone, just to be sure.
Bob nodded – then went back to thinking about his enemies.
