A Sydney office worker sitting in a very quiet Sydney office this afternoon is currently wondering if he should be making hay will the sun shines.

The 27-year-old finance guy Tim Lee has sent the feelers out in a few private messages and group chats, to suss out whether there’s any interest in a bit of a spontaneous blow out tonight.

“I just figure we may not have long, and as they say so often, ‘there’s no time like the present,'” he said.

His comments follow the concerns that the South Sydney cluster could have spread to other parts of the city, prompting a Melbourne style lock-down in the very near future.

“You hate to leave anything out on the field you know, so if we were to go into a quick lockdown, It’d kill me to spend it thinking about how I didn’t take my opportunities,” Lee said.

“So, why not a quick duck into a place in Surry Hills with a few excited happy hour rounds, before ‘one last schnitty’ at the pub and then another few of whatever random craft beer is the beer of the month into a midnight game of pool with some random cunts and 12:30 am kebab?”

“Maybe we aren’t gonna lockdown that quickly, but who am I to know, I’m just playing what’s in front of me.”
