Staring pensively at the Halloween decorations adorning his lounge room, local bloke Aaron Thompson finds himself scrambling to work out why it seems…oddly familiar.
But try as he might, he can’t quite put his finger on why the colour combination is so striking, or why it seems to stir up quite the mix of feelings.
How strange.
“What do you think!?”, his wife Lisa had asked, concentrating as she moved a plate of Oreos around the table in various positions, before putting it back in it’s original place, “it’s not tacky is it?”
“No, no I don’t think it does”, answers Aaron quickly, “it looks good, promise.”
Watching confused as his wife promptly exits the room, he enquires what she’s doing when Lisa responds that she wants to see what it looks like from a different angle.
“Just trying to get the guests’ point of view.”
“Like what they see upon entry.”
“Hmmm.”
“You know what, I think those bauble things are a bit too overbearing.”
“And such a Big Block of Colour.”
“Yeah maybe break things up by putting that candle in the middle”, agrees Aaron, a little distracted.
Fuck this is bothering him now.
Kind of reminds of some sort of arrival? Arriving?
“OH!”
“HAHAHA!”
“I’ve cracked it.”
“It’s the Jetstar logo.”
