A man from Sydney’s cosmopolitan inner southwest has suggested he plans on reforming the NBN to make it better than it is now if he wins the next Federal Election.
During his press conference, Labor leader Anthony Albanese put forward his $2.4 billion vision to expand suburban and regional access to full-fibre NBN.
“If this period of lockdown has taught us anything, it’s that fibre-to-the-home is what you want. That’s why people pay the big bucks to get it if they don’t have it,” he said.
“But it shouldn’t be on you to pay for it. The NBN should be public infrastructure that’s paid for by the people. If it’s paid for by the people, it should belong to the people,”
“It’s a radical idea, but it’s one that I believe in. OK, does anyone have any questions?”
A content creator from Sky News asked Albo if he’d like to call Scott Morrison a few names, like Biden’s Bitch or a Downing Street busboy, but Albo said he didn’t know what they meant.
“Both the UK and America are valued and important partners, both strategically and economically. Uh, the UK, not so much but the US, yes. They’re good guys,”
“All right.”
More to come.
