The price of money has gone up again today, putting more stress on the bottom line of everyone in this country lucky enough to be off the renting merry-go-round.

Which means the Governor of the Reserve Bank, Philip Lowe, is once again become the whipping boy for everyone feeling the pinch.

In response, Mr Lowe has shared a message to every Australian currently doing it tough and finding it harder than ever to pay their mortgage off.

“Don’t hate the player, hate the game,” he said.

“I know I said there wouldn’t be any more increases until 2024 but in the immortal words of Bob Dylan, ‘Things have changed,’ plus don’t get cross at me, I’m not the person who let you have a giant mortgage on some mouldy shitbox. If you want someone to sook to, go sook to the bank. See how that goes,”

“How about you just spend less money? Do you think this world is supposed to be a nice place all the time? Guess what? Sometimes this spinning hellrock of a planet isn’t very nice. Now, it’s gotten so bad that white, middle-class Australians are being impacted, ever so slightly. Do you know how I know that? Because that’s all I can hear. People who live a nice life, who always have, complaining about paying a few hundred dollars more each MONTH for their mortgage. Just stop playing golf, you barge arse cunt. There’s your savings there. You’re probably shit at it, anyway,”

“I mean, I could go on all day. I’m just sick of being the bloke who cops all the hate from the press and the Australians who have white dog shit in their head where their brain should be.”

The Advocate emailed a number of questions to Mr Lowe, who printed them out and threw them in a urinal.

More to come.
