Opposition leader Peter Dutton says he has no plans to visit the Division of Dunkley in the lead up to the by-election on the 2nd of March because he knows what Victorians think of his common sense approach to policy.
For the past week, Mr Dutton has been making the suggestion that the Federal Government made changes to the Stage 3 tax cuts in an effort to retain Dunkley and possibly make inroads in former prime minister Scott Morrison’s electorate of Cook in Sydney’s south.
“It’s a political stunt,” explained Dutton to reporters in Perth today.
“That’s all it is. It’s a generous tax cut to 97% of Australian workers. The 3% that make more than $190k are going to be sodomised by the Tax Man in June. Let me rephrase that, they will get their tax cut cut in half,”
“It’s a political stunt.”
When asked by a reporter if it was a political stunt by him to stay the hell away from Dunkley next month, Dutton confirmed that it was.
“Look, we all know that Victorians and I don’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of things,” he laughed.
“As the pandemic proved, they’re a largely unruly and sickly people that place more importance on the sense of self and their own identity. The leftie who looks in the mirror too much. They claim to have a sense of community but it’s usually just a community of overweight people from the city who cheat themselves and Medicare by riding an electric bike. When a piece of plaque the size of baby’s forearm dislodges from the side of their aorta and blocks the blood highway, it’s your tax dollars that go to hosing them out,”
“Melbourne people come up to Noosa and complain about the humidity and the fact their coffee comes to them in a pre-warmed mug, Queensland-style. Their great guts sweating beneath linen. Disgraceful. I hate them and they hate me,”
“That’s why were sending in Dan Tehan. He’s essentially Bill Shorten but with a functioning brain. Victorians like him. I’m more of a Cook man myself. You’ll see me down there.”
