People from all over the world have gathered to mourn the death of the Brat meme as it has finally passed on to the other side, facebook.

The meme, which was birthed out of Charli XCX’s critically acclaimed album from June this year was thrust into the spotlight by straight girls who only have male gay friends and dopamine addicted kick on connoisseurs around the world.

The simple to grasp lime green format was quickly appropriated by soulless corporations trying to reach the gen Z demographic.

Despite even being used by the intergovernmental military alliance NATO, the Brat meme’s core enthusiasts were able to maintain its authenticity for months.

Finally, earlier this week, a suburban 62 year old woman finally put the meme to bed.

Linda Hamsworth (62), who had seen the meme on the social media pages of Presidential nominee Kamala Harris, made the huge decision to re-appropriate the meme to wish her 23 year old niece a happy birthday on her Facebook wall.

“I can’t say I really understand it all, but it’s all a bit of fun really isn’t it” Linda recalled.

“I know Zoe will love it”

Within seconds church bells across the globe could be heard in the distance, marking the official end of the Brat meme, now that it had made its way to Facebook.

While it may have found its final resting place on Facebook, its spirit will undoubtedly linger in the countless memes and trends that follow.
