The Federal Government is still undecided on whether to help Victorian businesses get through this latest lockdown because they’re struggling to wrap their head around the fact that there’s still people who aren’t having a go.

Speaking to The Advocate this morning, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said that despite all the tools and perfect conditions to grow a business and wealth in this country, there are still people out there living week to week.

“When we came to power, we said that if you have a go, you’ll get a go,” he said.

“Which is largely true. If you’re still living week to week, you’re clearly not having a go and don’t deserve to get a go,”

“And in Melbourne, it sounds like there’s not a lot of people having a go. A lot of complaining. It’s disappointing.”

Echoing the Treasurer’s sentiments, the Prime Minister Scott Morrison piped up and took the phone from Josh.

“I just can’t believe that there are people still living week to week. What the hell is wrong with them? Live within your means. Put some money away. It’s not that hard,” he said.

“I’m just sick to death of all the complaining coming out of Victoria. Melbourne especially. It’s their fault they’re in this mess. They don’t even do QR codes down there. They can’t even track the spread. Fuck them, the rest of Australia is sick to death of Melbourne people having a sook when they do nothing to prevent this in the first place,”

“No JobKeeper for you. Work it out for yourselves.”

More to come.
