A Betoota Heights father has told The Advocate he has no qualms with nuclear energy because he knows it’s actually quite safe.
John Dale knows it’s safe because as he explained to The Advocate earlier today, he routinely leaves nuclear waste in the toilet that’s out the back in his laundry.
“We have the most uranium in the world, or at least that’s what they tell me on the news,” he said.
“We also have a lot of desert where we can dump the stuff. We could dump it deep in the ocean, who cares? Take it out where MH370 is, nobody will find it. No, I reckon nuclear power is the go for us. We’ll run our nuclear powerplants like we run Qantas. Well, like we used to run Qantas. They’ve had no big bungles because they’re careful and employ Aussies to do everything to keep the planes in the air. I think,”
“Anyway, I went to Yum Cha yesterday with the Ray White boys and I certainly left some nuclear waste in my laundry dunny this morning. The missus and kids make me do out in the laundry for number twos. They carry on if I use the dunny off the living room.”
Our reporter nodded, clicked the recorder off, took the tape out and threw it in Mr Dale’s bin.
More to come.
