A local man has been added to a number of federal and state watchlists today after ordering a new Tesla Model 3 with the white leather option.

Brock Endick, a 34-year-old logistics manager at WestBet Aviation, will pick the new vehicle up in the new year once the paperwork has been filed with his novated lease provider but the decision to forgo the black leather has already put him in the sights of authorities.

The US carmaker only offers white leather as part of a programme started by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to weed out possible sex offenders. The programme was extended in Australia to include middle class people with latent boganity.

Both Queensland Police and the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) have confirmed to The Advocate that Endick has been added to more than one watchlist but cannot confirm or deny which ones they may be.

“It’s a very interesting and effective idea by Tesla and the FBI,” admits Detective Inspector Burdekin Murray from the Betoota Heights Police Station.

“The only person who’d order a Tesla with white leather is a potential sex offender. Well, I’d go as far as saying anyone who buys a Tesla should be on a watchlist. Especially in Western Queensland. At the moment, however, it’s just the white leather perverts,”

“Let it be known that if you own a Tesla with white leather, we are watching you.”

The Advocate spoke to Endick about his recent purchase and left wishing we hadn’t.

“The white leather just speaks to me,” he said.

“I’m not Greek, I don’t have bad taste when it comes to interior decorating. I just preferred it. The white just spoke to me.”

This masthead passed that on to Detective Inspector Murray, who shook his head in disgust.

“He’s a sick puppy.”

More to come.
