The Australian Men’s Test Cricket Team has been flogged by an innings in Sri Lanka overnight with the hosts commenting on how similar the tourist’s batting collapse is to that of the host nation’s government this month.
Left with just under two hundred runs to make the Sri Lankans bat again, the Australians failed in that quest letting all ten wickets go in quick succession.
According to cricket analysts, it’s a collapse not seen in the country since the government effectively dissolved earlier this month.
That has impressed some Sri Lankan cricketers, who told The Advocate that beating an Australian Test Team led by Captain Yung Blue Eyes Pat Cummins by an innings is something they’ll never forget.
“Yeah man, didn’t see that one coming,” said a Sri Lankan team member.
“It’s not like it was a bowlers wicket, either. We just saw Chandimal go off and make 200 so there was runs there in the wicket. They just can’t face left-arm spin, man. They can’t,”
“That collapse, mate. Way quicker than our government.”
More to come.
