The Pope spent a ‘tranquil’ evening last night according to The Vatican, which was after a ‘peaceful’ one the night before.
And before that one, the leader of the Catholic world enduring a ‘quiet’ night, before that one, the Pope was said to have enjoyed a ‘serene’ evening.
As the Pope’s condition continues to be reposeful and calm, the Vatican has released a statement this morning informing the world’s media that they are fast running out of appropriate adjectives to described how Pope Francis spent the night.
“We might have to resort to using Italian language adjectives that have no direct translation in English,” said a Vatican spokesperson.
“That way, it’s up to the world’s media to translate them as they see fit. Because we are running out of appropriate terms to describe the situation. Which is pleasant and unalarming.”
Insiders have told The Advocate that the Pope is said to enjoy an ‘idyllic’ evening tonight, which some analysts have concluded that either the worst of it is behind the Pope or something else entirely.”
Closer to home, Catholics have remained optimistic and have told our reporters that they’re keeping the Pope in their prayers.
“He has been a good Pope, my heart explodes for him,” said this masthead’s editor Clancy Overell.
“I can only hope God shows him mercy.”
More to come.
