The Wests Tigers are on top of the world, it can be confirmed this morning.
Friday mornings haven’t looked this good for merger club since the early 2010s, after a stunning victory over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles last night.
With the Tigers dreaming of not coming last in the 2024 title race, the orange and black team managed to cling on to an 8 point victory over a side chasing a top 4 spot.
And that incredible victory has been celebrated by the fans like a premiership.
With pubs overflowing after the final siren last night, it’s been confirmed that it simply doesn’t get better for Tigers fans.
While Manly are left ruing an absolute golden opportunity to nab a double chance finals position, the Tigers are in heaven.
“Fucking whatever,” laughed one Tigers fan after being reminded that his team is still coming last.
“That’s as good as hoisting the trophy if you ask me.”
“It’s been a long decade.”
When asked about Manly having to play with 12 men for nearly half of the match and some very questionable league calls going the Tigers way, he laughed again.
“Manly need to learn to tackle mate.”
“You can’t take people’s heads off and then expect to stay on the field.”
“Thanks for coming Brooksy.”
“Still can’t win at Leichhardt can ya mate.”
More to come.
