The national broadcaster is once again proving its worth to the nation, as the Tropical Cyclone bears down on the Eastern Seaboard.
Famous for being dragged through the mud by commercial media outlets who hate the fact that ABC journalists have to adhere to things like ethical and moral codes – the ABC is currently providing 24 hourly updates on the extremely frightening weather event.
With young, hungry journous out on the beat in the heavy raincoats, all arms of the national broadcaster are doing their best to keep the public abreast of everything they need to know.
Including their local radio stations, Facebook pages, and news sections on their website providing frequent updates, it can be confirmed that the Australian Broadcasting Corporation is certainly providing bang for its buck.
“Yeah, coming in pretty handy right now,” said local Capalaba dad Grahame Horwill, with ABC News 24 on in the background while his local radio station brings in information.
Costing taxpayers 4 cents a day each, Grahame said he’s pretty happy to pay the price right now.
“Look, they certainly broadcast some shit I’m not a fan of,” he said.
“But hard to argue against having a well funded national news service right now isn’t it.”
The ABC where unavailable to comment because it’s currently all stations go on this cyclone.
More to come.
