A boisterous local woman from Betoota Heights has today given a fringe member of the family group a big tick of approval.
Janine Wilson (64) has done so by confirming that her nephew’s new girlfriend is an ‘absolute hoot.’
The ultimate sign of respect from Janine, the praise came following a family wedding up in the Diamantina Hills over the weekend.
With the Wilson family clan joining together to celebrate the nuptials of Bryson and Chantelle, Janine was also keeping a keen eye on her nephew Jordan and his new flame.
“Yeah, Chloe’s been on the scene for nearly 12 months now, but we haven’t ever seen her,” laughed Janine.
“I was beginning to think she didn’t bloody exist!”
However, the wider Wilson family have now been given proof of the existence of Chloe, and they are all now wondering why she was kept hidden for so long.
“What was he doing keeping her away from us for all this time,” said Janine, who forgets she very publicly asked Jordan’s last girlfriend if she’d ‘ever been put on the spit’ the first time she met the extended family.
“She is an absolute blast! I don’t know how he managed to snag her,” laughed Janine.
“Hopefully she sticks around, she’s great value.”
