The future of the Australian economy finally looks in safe hands, after a bombshell announcement from the Prime Minister of Australia.

Speaking to reporters from Canberra this morning, Anthony Albanese revealed that his government is entering the country into the global AI race.

Albanese confirmed this morning that scientists at the CSIRO have begun working on the new and improved Magic 8 Ball.

Famous for being able to provide the answers to pivotal questions, like whether Josh really did have a crush on Crystal, the Magic 8 Ball was a staple of the Noughties.

However, the magical ball is coming back, under the name of 8Ball.

The new and improved 8 Ball will have up to 20 answers, and is set to change the global AI race forever.

This follows China entering the global struggle to eradicate the need for human thinking, and surpassing the billions pumped into the industry by America with a young IT student named David who whipped up DeepSeek in a couple of weeks.

The new AI sent shock waves across the world, causing stock markets to tumble and many to question what this means for the future of human kind.

That episode might look like a drop in the ocean now though, with the PM promising that the 8Ball will be out before the end of the year.

It has been made in partnership with the CSIRO and a private firm set up by a bunch of venture capitalists and former politicians who will then be allowed to sell the company in its entirety for their own private profit – without having to pay back a sent of the public money put into creating the product.

The model has been recommended by KPMG.

More to come.
