A happy go lucky bloke from Betoota Heights has today been reminded of a simpler time.
The throwback came at a rather unexpected location – the middle aisle of a local Dan Murphys.
Brayden Iose says he had his memory cast back to the glory days, after stumbling upon an Aussie icon- long thought to be lost in the annals of history.
“Is that a case of Fosters?” gasped Iose, whose synapses were firing a multitude of messages through his brain at a rate of knots.
“They must be bringing it back,” he said.
“Stoked,” he laughed, picking up a case of the iconic Aussie lager that was loved by so many for so long – both here and abroad.
“Oathhhhhhhhh.”
“Extremely rude not to.”
“Hopefully it takes me back to a time where houses were like 20k and a beer was $1.50 at the pub,” he laughed.
Iose’s joke comes as a reference to the glory days of Fosters, in the 80s and 90s, when you could comfortably afford to buy a nice house in a place where you wanted to live.
“Or when you could get a mixed bag of lollies at the canteen on a Saturday arvo for like 50c.”
“Godman I love those clouds.”
“Anyway, hopefully the return of the fabled Fosters means the glory days are back.”
“If not, I’m just gonna enjoy a nice case of Australia’s finest.”
More to come.
