Julian Assange has been making the most of his new found freedom, it can be confirmed today.

After initially threatening to head back to Belmarsh prison after landing in Canberra last night, Assange has reportedly spent today looking to make the best of the situation.

The Townsville man who was locked up for revealing the awful nature of US imperialism, has passed a long afternoon at one of the Bush Capital’s icons.

“Yeah, I haven’t been to Questacon since I was kid,” shrugged Assange, who has spent the last 13 years locked up because he dared to publish footage of military personnel murdering innocent civilians aka ‘military secrets.’

“So, after spending the morning talking to all these politicians who are clamouring to attach themselves to me, I figured I might go cut a couple of laps at Questacon.”

Famous for being the place most kids go to on a school excursion, Questacon is a science and technology centre that aims to show kids how cool STEM can be.

The centre features a raft of fun games, like the Free Fall, which allows people to drop down a 6 metre slide and feel the full force of gravity.

“It’s pretty sick haha,” laughed Assange, giving the Fall an 11th spin.

“Nick Kyrgios said to come over in a bit for a bit of COD and Fifa session at his Canberra pad, so I’ll probably do that.”

“And then just chill I guess.”

“I’m not sure how long I can stay down here.”

More to come.
