In entertainment news, a security guard from Western Sydney has been handed a golden lanyard this week, after being bestowed the honour of being the only person in the county to see Taylor Swift four times over.
Sione Leota (34) from Campbelltown has the most highly sought after laminated ticket in his sizeable hands, a four-night mega-pass to work the front barrier at Swift’s shows at Olympic Stadium.
Speaking to The Advocate from the dumbbell rack at World’s Gym Penrith, Sione told our reporter that he’s gearing up for a big few nights of having to tell spoilt little VIP ticket holders to take a few steps back.
“Yeah I do a fair few gigs for seccy company out at Olympic, he called me last week and said we were on,” Sione said whilst casually dumbbell rowing 46kg.
“I just came off working the A Reserve section at the P!nk shows at Moore Park last week, it was a good warm up, but I’m guessing the Swiftie crowd might be a bit more of a handful than those middle aged Mums on prosecco.”
When quizzed whether he was at all bit of a Swiftie, Sione admitted he’d done a little priming this week before the big run of shows.
“Bruz I always do some research before any tour, there’s nothing worse than standing at a gig for two hours and not knowing any of the tracks.”
“After listening to the setlist a few times this week I’m pretty keen for the Fearless era.”
“I’ll be there right up the front belting out ‘You Belong With Me’ alongside all the rich kids that paid $1300 for VIP seats, I’m Ready For It”.
More to come.
