The nation’s peak scientific body has today been accused of forgetting their roots.
Despite being founded and grounded on the field of science, the CSIRO has been attacked for seemingly departing from the tried and tested.
Rather than be hailed as the voice of scientific reason in an ever murky age of post-modernist truth, they have been accused of being ‘woke lefties’ who follow their emotions rather than their rational brain.
This dismissal follows the CSIRO’s declaration that nuclear power will be twice as costly for the nation as renewable energy.
Amongst other things, the CSIRO has roundly rejected the claims of the Liberal Party and nuclear advocates that the form of power could be implemented in 15 years and would be costly and effective for the nation.
While many would assume those rejections are based on the findings of scientists who have dedicated their entire life to the study of this sort of stuff, unfortunately the Liberal and National Party have labelled them woke lefties.
“Haha well done CSIRO,” laughed Opposition Leader Peter Dutton today.
“If we win next year, you just got yourself a nice 200 million dollar funding cut for that bullshit.”
When asked why he was dismissing the analysis from the body of the nation’s best scientists, Dutton explained that he much prefers his one pager that says nuclear will be built in a few years and will be cheap as chips.
“Sounds much better, don’t you think?”
