The minds behind the nation’s number one tailgating vehicle have today revealed a stunning new change coming in 2025!
In a seen to be believed news story, Ford have confirmed that they will be releasing a new Electric Raptor – and the new battery set up will blow your mind.
Rather than having a big bulky battery in the poorly named frunk of the vehicle, the new Raptor will run off the juice from a single Makita drill battery in the bonnet.
With each battery able to sustain 2 hours of frantically merging in and out of lanes on the motorway or sitting on someone’s arse in traffic, owners will only need to have 4 or 5 spare batteries in the back to get from Brissy to Betoota.
The pioneering new bit of technology is set to be available on Australian shores in early 2025, and will fit all those juicy EV subsidies and exemptions in the tray.
“It’s a no brainer,” said a rep for the car company.
“It will be as easy as switching the batteries over on a drill and cheap as chips to charge up and get moving.”
“Everyone knows these new Makita batteries have more longevity than a Nokia 3310, and they’re much more affordable than paying 2 bucks plus for fuel everytime you fill up.”
When asked about the inspiration behind the new Makita powered Ford Raptor, the rep explained that it’s time to acknowledge that the future is here.
“Mate, sustainable energy is an economic decision as much a moral one,” he said.
“Sure it’s nice to save the Reef and all, but it’s also very nice to not really pay for power and fuel…”
“Call me a woke inner city snowflake all you want, but the price is right for plenty of people now,” he laughed.
“If it’s woke not to get stung by my energy country, then cuff me.”
More to come.
