Local Manly Sea Eagles fan and notoriously loud construction worker Seamus Thompson (29), was reportedly quieter than a cute little mouse on his Western Sydney construction site this morning.
Seamus, usually the first to loudly declare the superiority of his Northern Beaches lifestyle and Sea Eagles fandom, has found himself at odds with the site’s predominantly Bulldogs supporting tradies.
“Yeah haha, can’t lie, the boys seem disappointed about the loss yesterday” Seamus explained.
“Probably best I don’t bring the footy up today” He said before downing a 600ML Dare.
As the only Anglo-Australian in his company, Seamus usually enjoys the friendly banter about his Northern Beaches homeland, and the villainous status he has on the site – but he can’t deny that today might be a bit too sensitive.
“I think they actually thought they were going to go all the way”
“What were they thinking?”
The sombre worksite today reportedly had absolutely no time for Seamus’ pro-Northern Beaches opinions after the Sea Eagles somehow managed to eliminate the Bulldogs yesterday.
Despite the work site tension, there are concerns that Seamus’ silence might not last.
“Look I can’t be expected to protect everyone’s feelings out of fear of physical or verbal assault for the rest of the finals” Seamus said.
“Manly-Warringah might actually win this thing”
“Maybe I can even get the boys on board with this! Who else will they support? The Roosters?!”
