A 22 year old who was forced to do year 11, year 12, most of uni and her first years in the workforce from home, has been told to finally come into the office.

Grace Murphy (22) has been ordered by her boss that it’s finally time to come into the office after spending large chunks of her life working out of her bedroom.

“I mean once Covid hit at the end of year 11 that was pretty much the end of any schooling” Grace explained.

“Then pretty much all of my degree I did at home, I didn’t make a single real life friend there”

“And once I finally got a job out of uni the WFH culture was in full swing so I spent most days working from home there too.”

Grace says actually physically going into a workplace is going to take some getting used to.

“I’ve only seen workplaces through TV shows and movies, If it’s anything like the show The Office I’m sure I’m going to love it hahah” Grace explained.

While Grace remains mainly excited for the new experience, she does admit there’s some things she’s confused about.

“So like, at meetings do we all just sit in a room and use Zoom to talk to each other even though we’re in the same room? How does that work?”
