The Liberal Party of Australia are today putting their heads together to figure out a plan.
The plan in question involves how to keep the Opposition Leader away from the funeral of a prominent Catholic figure.
“Yeah, I think we are going to have to lock him down in his local electorate,” said a Liberal power broker under the condition of anonymity.
“We can’t have him going to that fucking piece of shit’s funeral, no matter how understated it is.”
The ‘piece of shit’ the power broker is referencing, is Gerald Ridsdale, one of the most notorious and prolific paedophile priests, who died this week.
“Yeah given Peter attended George Pell’s funeral and described him as a ‘politically persecuted’ man ‘who suffered a great injustice’ and ‘contributed a huge amount’ to our society, we want to keep him on a tight leash this week,” said the powerbroker.
Pell was off course visited by Tony Abbott in prison and given a character reference by John Howard, who made sure to join Dutton at the funeral of the man accused of horrific crimes.
Pell had his conviction overturned before his death, which had nothing to do with the power, money and influence of the Catholic church and their lawyers.
“Yeah Pell was innocent, but not great that three of our most prominent figures attended the funeral of a man who spent time in jail for child sexual abuse,” continued the Liberal insider.
“So we just gotta make sure this fellas don’t get any ideas with Gerald.”
Dutton was unavailable to comment.
