A man from the land of the Long White Cloud has ruffled a few feathers in his office today, after making some interesting claims about the state of the world.

The Kings College and University of Otago graduate did so a short time ago, when claiming that Australia’s migration policy is causing serious grief.

“Mate Ozzie really needs to look at thur migration polisea,” said Richie Barrett (29).

“Honestly, utz seriously cooking the housing market and the economeee.”

Richie’s comments off the back of the young man and his girlfriend moving to Australia a couple of years ago to occupy a rental property and work in a well-paying job, courtesy of the Trans-Tasman Travel Agreement.

The agreement enables the free movement of citizens between our two countries, with Australians heading to New Zealand to inject huge amounts of money into their economy through tourism, and Kiwis in return coming to take advantage of us having an economy, health care system and beaches.

Which is why Barrett’s comments raised eye-brows in his office, given Kiwis are just as populous in Australia as Chinese born residents.

With net migration population growth actually lower this year then it was before the spicy cough, and a million vacant properties currently on the market because of our taxation policies that turn the human right to own a home into a way to generate capital, Barrett refused to admit that he’s just chosen to buy into the issue to make himself feel a bit better.

“No I’m serious, Ozzie is just letting anyone in and it’s seriously stuffing our economy,” said the corporate pig who wouldn’t know what to do if someone on a minimum wage didn’t deliver his food to him on a hungover Saturday and Sunday morning.

“Sorry, I mean your economy, but we are birds of a feather you know.”

“Mi casa su casa am I right?”

More to come.
