A local woman is today preparing for an incredibly productive Friday afternoon.

Not so much in a paid employment sense, but in a life admin sense.

That’s because the Betoota Heights local is about to absolutely punish some Afterpay Day sales.

Flicking her online status to ‘in a meeting’ for the rest of the arvo, Alice Timbers said it’s time to go HAM on these sales.

“You are losing money if you let sales like this go by,” laughed the self proclaimed economic expert.

“I circled Friday the 16th of August in my calendar a longgggggg time ago,” she laughed.

Beginning in 2015, Afterpay Day has exploded in popularity year on year, and sees retailers around the country slash prices.

And that is something that Timbers and many others say they need to cash in on.

“If you are savvy like me, you wait for a big day like this and then hammer the sales,” she said.

“Spruce up the wardrobe heading into spring, get all the bits and pieces I need for the house.”

“One fell swoop.”

“And it’s Friday arvo, plenty of people won’t even come back in after lunch.”

“So, I’m gonna hammer this out and get it done.”

“Now, if you’d be so kind,” she said, waving our reporter out of the office as she put her headphones on.
